Visitors arrived last Saturday and will leave coming Wednesday. So we are sightseeing with them, which leaves no time to create a proper blogpage at present (Monday the 20th of January). Yesterday we visited Lyon. Here's a view of the city and the river Saône. More later on...

La Loire on Monday the 20th of January 2014. Substantially higher -and faster- than before.

Due to the level of La Loire the 'emergency'-gate between the river and our Port is closed for the first time this winter. As the river feeds the Port and, subsequently, the canal a sufficient amout of water is permanently let in by opening a few paddles in the gate.
